The doctored photo of Veerender Singh Jubbal appeared in at least two Spanish and one Italian newspapers.

Veerender Singh Jubbal, a Canadian writer and activist, is threatening to sue news outlets in Spain and Italy for publishing a selfie of him that was doctored using Photoshop and labeling him as one of the Nov. 13 Paris attackers. The original image shows him in front of a mirror taking a photo with an iPad. The altered photo shows him with wearing a suicide vest and holding a Koran instead of the iPad.

"Several flaws in the Photoshopped image were also pointed out: the turban is worn by Sikhs, there are North American power outlets on the mirror, and Korans generally cannot take selfies," the Sidney Morning Herald reported.
